Karnataka Becoming a Jungle Raj, Says MP Basavaraj Bommai
Former CM Slams State Government Over Rising Crime and Lawlessness
Bengaluru - Former Karnataka Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai has expressed grave concerns over the state’s deteriorating law and order situation, accusing the current government of allowing Karnataka to turn into a "Jungle Raj."
Highlighting recent crimes, Bommai condemned a shocking incident in Bidar where individuals replenishing cash in an ATM were shot dead in broad daylight, leaving the state in shock. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), he criticized the administration for prioritizing internal power struggles over governance, leading to a lack of control over criminal activities.
"The police force has lost its grip on criminals, and the offenders operate fearlessly," Bommai said. He added that neither humans nor animals are safe under the current government’s tenure.
Bommai demanded immediate and strict action against the culprits and urged the state to impose severe punishments. He cautioned that continued negligence could spark public unrest and rebellion.
