29-Year-Old Woman's Body Found Cut into 30 Pieces and Stored in Refrigerator; Police Suspect Murder Took Place 4-5 Days Ago

Bengaluru - A gruesome discovery has sent shockwaves through Bengaluru's Malleswaram area, where the dismembered body of a 29-year-old woman was found inside her home. The woman, identified as Mahalakshmi, had been brutally murdered and her body was cut into over 30 pieces, which were then stored in a refrigerator.

Police suspect that the murder took place 4-5 days ago. The horrific crime came to light when authorities visited her home and found her remains in the bedroom. Senior police officers, including forensic experts and dog squads, arrived at the scene, cordoning off the surrounding streets for investigation.

Murder Linked to Marital Separation

Mahalakshmi, originally from another state, had been living alone in Malleswaram after separating from her husband, who works at an ashram outside the city. The police have launched an intensive investigation to determine the motive and apprehend those responsible for the brutal crime.

The case has drawn parallels to the 2022 murder of Shraddha in Delhi, where a young woman was similarly dismembered and her remains were stored in a refrigerator by her partner.
