Kochi - Malayalam cinema is poised for a thrilling leap with the upcoming release of 'Bazooka', the industry’s first-ever game thriller, headlined by the legendary Mammootty. The film is all set to hit theatres on April 11, strategically timed to capture the festive fervour of Vishu and Easter.
Directed and scripted by debutant Dino Dennis, son of iconic screenwriter Kaloor Dennis, Bazooka has already generated a social media storm with its teasers and posters. The film has cleared the censor board with a clean U/A certificate, promising an engaging yet family-friendly cinematic experience.
The movie, produced by Jinu V Abraham and Dolwin Kuriakose under the Theatre of Dreams in association with Saregama, features a power-packed cast: Gautam Vasudev Menon, Shine Tom Chacko, Divya Pillai, Aishwarya Menon, Spadikam George, Dean Dennis, and Sumit Naval (Brig B fame) among others.
The protagonist, played by Mammootty, is described as a man of intellect and cunning, bringing viewers a brand-new cinematic experience that marries the high-stakes world of gaming with psychological thrills.
