Mumbai- Cricket enthusiasts, the wait is over! The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially released the schedule for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The tournament is set to commence on March 22, 2025, with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) facing off against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The 18th edition of the IPL promises a thrilling season, featuring 10 teams competing across 74 matches in 13 venues. The grand finale is slated for May 25, 2025, also at Eden Gardens, marking the third time this historic ground will host the IPL final.
Key Highlights of IPL 2025:
Opening Match: March 22, 2025 – KKR vs. RCB at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Double-Headers: A total of 13 double-header days are scheduled, with afternoon matches starting at 3:30 PM IST and evening matches at 7:30 PM IST.
Additional Venues: Delhi Capitals will play some home games in Visakhapatnam, Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati, and Punjab Kings in Dharamsala.
