Air Marshal Tarun Chaudhry Hosts the Iconic Indian Air Force Race Cup at Mysuru Race Club
Prestigious IAF Race Cup Commemorates Over Three Decades of Excellence; Air Marshal Presents Trophies to Winners

Bengaluru - Air Marshal Tarun Chaudhry, Senior Air Staff Officer at HQ Southern Air Command, visited the 2 Air Force Selection Board in Mysuru on 06 February 2025. He was greeted upon arrival by Air Commodore Abhijit Tokekar, Air Officer Commanding of the 2 Air Force Selection Board.
As the Chief Guest for the prestigious Air Force Race Cup, the Air Marshal attended the event held at the Mysuru Race Club, a longstanding tradition that has been celebrated since 1987. The race cup was instituted by the Indian Air Force to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the No. 2 Air Force Selection Board, Mysuru. The Air Force Race Cup is a Rolling Trophy made from high-quality silver, with the national emblem crafted in 24K gold polish. Each year, the name of the winning horse owner is engraved on the trophy, further cementing its place as one of the most distinguished awards in the Indian Air Force.
During the event, the Air Marshal interacted with members of the Race Club Committee and other guests, witnessing the exciting races. After the event, he presented the Air Force Race Cup to the owner of the winning horse and Salvers to the jockey and trainer of the victorious team.
In his address, Air Marshal Chaudhry congratulated the winners of the race and acknowledged the efforts of the organizing committee, praising the event's professional execution. He expressed his gratitude to the Mysuru Race Club for its excellent cooperation and impeccable arrangements, which contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the IAF Race Cup.
