Bengaluru – In a major overhaul of the recruitment process, the Indian Army has introduced a Common Entrance Examination (CEE) to be conducted online, bringing a new level of efficiency and transparency to its recruitment procedure. This marks the first time that the Indian Army will rely on a digital exam format, revolutionizing how aspiring candidates apply for various army positions.

Fact Pointer Highlights:

Phase I - Online CEE: The recruitment process will begin with an online Common Entrance Examination, which will be held at designated Computer-Based Training (CBT) centers across India.

Phase II - Recruitment Rallies: After the online exam, physical recruitment rallies will be organized by Army Recruitment Offices at designated rally venues.

Important Dates:

  • Notification Date: 11 March 2025
  • Online Registration: Open from 12 March to 10 April 2025
  • New Approach: The introduction of online registration and CBT centers ensures ease of access for candidates nationwide.

The announcement was made public on 11 March 2025, with online registration for the recruitment rally now open from 12 March to 10 April 2025. This new process, which replaces the traditional paper-based tests, is expected to make recruitment more accessible to potential candidates, while also addressing previous concerns about the logistical challenges of offline exams.

The recruitment process is split into two key phases. Phase I will involve the online CEE, conducted nationwide at designated CBT centers. This is expected to increase transparency, reduce the chance of malpractice, and ensure a more systematic approach to the initial screening of candidates.

Following the successful completion of Phase I, candidates will proceed to Phase II, which will consist of physical recruitment rallies. These rallies will be organized by Army Recruitment Offices at various designated venues. The new system provides a more streamlined process for both candidates and recruiters, offering a clearer, more uniform framework for all.

With registration now open for the recruitment rally, this major reform is expected to modernize and expedite the recruitment process for the Indian Army, opening up new opportunities for a larger pool of applicants.
