Bengaluru- As part of the ongoing Army Day celebrations, the Indian Army, under the aegis of the Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area, organized a captivating display of military equipment and a pipe band performance at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), Bengaluru. Travelers were treated to a firsthand glimpse of a wide range of infantry weapons alongside melodious tunes performed by the Army Pipe Band, creating an unforgettable experience for those passing through the airport.
The event garnered widespread attention and admiration from the general public, with many expressing their enthusiasm and curiosity about the Army’s capabilities. Major General VT Mathew, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area, along with other senior officers, interacted with the audience, answering queries and sharing insights about the Army’s operations.
In his address, Maj Gen VT Mathew extended a warm invitation to the public to attend the main event, "Know Your Army Mela," scheduled for January 11, 2025, at Manekshaw Parade Ground. The event promises an even more extensive showcase of the Indian Army’s prowess, equipment, and dedication.
