Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh Appointed Next Chief of Indian Air Force

New Delhi - In a highly anticipated move, Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh has been appointed as the next Chief of Air Staff (CAS) of the Indian Air Force (IAF). He will assume command on September 30, succeeding Air Chief Marshal V.R. Chaudhari.

Born on October 27, 1964, Singh has had a distinguished career spanning 40 years since his commissioning in December 1984. With over 5,000 flying hours to his credit, he is the second officer from the Tejas program, following ACM R.K.S. Bhadauria, to reach this prestigious position.

Singh has held numerous key roles in the IAF, including Deputy Chief of Air Staff and Vice Chief of Air Staff (VCAS). His leadership is expected to play a crucial role in advancing India's air capabilities and strategic objectives.

As the IAF prepares for new challenges, Singh's extensive experience in both operational and strategic domains will be instrumental in shaping the future of India's aerial defense.
