A Tribute to Visionary Leadership: 15th LM Katre Memorial Lecture Held in Bengaluru

Bengaluru – The Air Force Association (Karnataka Branch) proudly hosted the 15th edition of the Air Chief Marshal LM Katre Memorial Lecture at the HAL Management Academy Auditorium on September 21, 2024. This annual event commemorates the significant contributions of the late Air Chief Marshal LM Katre, who played a pivotal role in advancing aviation in India during his distinguished 42-year career with the Indian Air Force and HAL.

In his welcome address, Air Marshal HB Rajaram (Retd), President of the AFA, highlighted the origins of this cherished tradition and emphasized Air Chief Marshal Katre's vital contributions to the aviation sector.

The keynote address was delivered by the chief guest, Dr. Samir V Kamat, Secretary of the Department of Defence R&D and Chairman of DRDO. During the event, he also released a commemorative souvenir honoring Air Chief Marshal Katre's legacy.

The lecture drew a significant audience, including professionals from the Indian Air Force, DRDO, HAL, and representatives from the private sector. Dr. DK Sunil, Chairman & Managing Director of HAL, further enriched the discussions with insights on HAL-IAF relations.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Air Commodore AK Patra (Retd), Vice President of the AFA, marking a successful tribute to a visionary leader in Indian aviation.
