NEXT-GEN WARFARE: FWC-02 CONCLUDES IN NEW DELHI
New Delhi - The second edition of the Tri-Services Future Warfare Course (FWC-02), designed to equip India’s Armed Forces for next-generation combat, successfully concluded today at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi. This three-week intensive programme, spearheaded by Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) and coordinated by the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS), marked a pivotal stride toward a ‘Whole of Nation Approach’ to defence.
PRIVATE SECTOR JOINS DEFENCE FORCES IN STRATEGIC PUSH
In a significant first, FWC-02 saw participation from 15 representatives of India’s private defence sector, including startups and MSMEs, underscoring the growing civil-military fusion. Their collaboration with top military leaders, DRDO scientists, and strategic experts provided unique insights into real-time tri-service operational requirements, particularly in critical areas such as military AI, autonomous systems, unmanned platforms, cybersecurity, and advanced materials.
IMMERSIVE TRAINING & GLOBAL EXPERTISE
The course delivered specialised modules and domain-specific expertise through scenario-building exercises and interactive discussions with subject matter experts from India and abroad. The expanded participation from all three Services and major defence establishments built on the success of its inaugural edition in September 2024, further reinforcing India's readiness for evolving security challenges.
RANK-AGNOSTIC FORMAT PROMOTES OPEN DIALOGUE
A hallmark of the FWC-02 was its rank-agnostic philosophy, enabling candid cross-rank dialogue among officers from Major to Major General and their equivalents. This unique approach fostered open discussions on tactical, operational, and strategic dimensions of future warfare, setting a benchmark for collaborative military learning.
