IAF Training Command Bengaluru Commemorates Vijay Diwas with Solemn Tribute to 1971 War Heroes
Wreath-Laying Ceremony at TC War Memorial Honors the Bravery and Sacrifice of Indian Armed Forces Veterans
Bengaluru – Headquarters Training Command (IAF), Bengaluru, marked ‘Vijay Diwas’ today with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the TC War Memorial. The event commemorated India’s historic victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, which not only safeguarded India’s sovereignty but also led to the creation of Bangladesh.
The ceremony honored the brave warriors of the Indian Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation. Their valour continues to stand as a symbol of national pride and a beacon of inspiration for generations to come.
Air Marshal Tejbir Singh, Senior Air Staff Officer, Training Command, led the tributes alongside officers from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and senior functionaries of Training Command. Veterans from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force also graced the occasion, reinforcing the enduring respect for the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country’s independence and security.
