Rising Stars: Third Batch of Agniveers Shine Bright at ASC Centre North Graduation!
Bengaluru - In a grand ceremony today at ASC Centre North, Bangalore, the third batch of Agniveers under the Agnipath Scheme marked their graduation, signaling another milestone in their journey towards serving the nation.
Under the Agnipath Scheme, sanctioned by the Government of India in June 2022, aimed at recruiting soldiers into the Armed Forces, the Agniveers underwent rigorous training at the prestigious ASC Centre (North). This premier institute is renowned for imparting training to Animal and Store handlers, Mechanical Transport Drivers, and various other tradesmen, providing crucial support to all Army Service Corps units across the Indian Army.
The journey of this third batch commenced on November 1, 2023, and today, on June 3, 2024, 261 Agniveers specializing in Driver Motor Vehicle (DMV) successfully passed out from the Centre. The Passing out Parade, presided over by Brigadier Jiten Ale, the Centre Commandant, was a spectacle to behold, showcasing the discipline and dedication instilled in these young soldiers.
Brigadier Jiten Ale, in his address, emphasized the importance of soldierly values, urging the fresh graduates to uphold the ethos of "Imandari, Wafadari, and Bahaduri" (Honesty, Loyalty, and Courage). The ceremony was graced by the proud parents of the Agniveers, who were honored with the prestigious "Gaurav Padak," a token of appreciation instituted by the Indian Army. This gesture recognizes the unwavering support of the parents in encouraging their children to join the noble ranks of the Indian Army in service of the nation.
