Air Force Technical College Hosts Spectacular Passing Out Parade for Engineering Officers

Bengaluru - The Air Force Technical College witnessed a momentous occasion today as it hosted a grand Passing Out Parade (POP) for the 212/23T/Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission/102 Aeronautical Engineering Course. Amidst the august presence of dignitaries, officials, air warriors, parents, and esteemed air veterans, the parade marked the culmination of 74 weeks of intensive training for 60 engineering officers, including 20 women officers.

Air Marshal SP Dharkar, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Air Command (EAC), IAF, graced the event as the Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer (RO). The parade was characterized by a stunning flypast featuring Dornier aircraft and a thrilling skydiving demonstration by the 'Air Devils' team of the IAF. Additionally, the 'Air Warrior Drill Team' showcased their impeccable skills, adding fervor to the ceremony.

Highlighting the excellence achieved during the course, the RO presented trophies and medallions to outstanding officers. Flying Officer Rahul EV was honored with the prestigious 'Sword of Honour' for securing the first position in the order-of-merit, while Flying Officer Nunna Uooha received the 'President’s Plaque' for excelling in professional subjects and General Service Training. Flying Officer Ritu Ranjan and Flying Officer Pathivada Hemant Kumar were awarded 'The Chief of Air Staff Medals' for their outstanding performance in Electronics and Mechanical streams, respectively.

Addressing the gathering, Air Marshal SP Dharkar congratulated the graduating officers and urged them to maintain operational readiness through innovation and staying updated with technological advancements. Emphasizing the importance of physical and mental fitness, he encouraged the officers to strive for excellence in all assigned tasks, ensuring the optimal availability and reliability of assets.
