Never Give Up”: NCC Chief Inspires Cadets During Karnataka-Goa Visit
Bengaluru - The Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Lt General GP Singh, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, concluded a high-impact two-day visit to the Karnataka & Goa NCC Directorate on April 8. The visit celebrated the region’s national-level achievement in securing the Prime Minister's Trophy for Best Performance (2024-25), while setting the tone for future expansion, training enhancements, and youth engagement.
Vision for Expansion, Excellence, and Empowerment
During strategy meetings with the Deputy Director General (DDG), Group Commanders, and staff, Lt Gen GP Singh stressed the need for continued expansion of NCC units, improvement in training methodologies, and effective utilization of allocated funds to further uplift cadet initiatives.
He strongly advocated for the creation of a dedicated NCC Training Academy with support from the Karnataka State Government—highlighting it as a long-term investment into youth leadership and national service.
“Never Give Up”: A Message That Resonated, Addressing hundreds of cadets, the NCC DG’s message was clear and inspirational:
“You are the future of this nation. Embrace discipline, aim for excellence, and never give up. The armed forces need you—and so does India.”
His address stirred pride and motivation among cadets, many of whom aspire to join the defence services.

Lt Gen GP Singh presented awards and commendations to cadets and staff members of the Karnataka & Goa Directorate for their exceptional contribution to the national recognition and operational excellence of the NCC unit.
He also met with officers from the Headquarters Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area, strengthening inter-service cooperation and administrative synergy.
