RSS Annual National Meet ABPS Kicks Off in Bengaluru
Bengaluru, March 21, 2025: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) commenced its three-day Annual National Meet, Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), at Janaseva Vidyakendra, Channenahalli, Bengaluru. The event was inaugurated by Sarasanghachalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat and Sarakaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale with floral tributes to Bharat Mata.
RSS's Role in Manipur Crisis: Uniting Communities for Peace
Addressing the media, RSS Sahasarkaryavaha Mukunda CR highlighted the organization’s efforts in fostering peace in Manipur. He emphasized the Sangh’s role in bridging tribal groups, Meiteis, and Kukis to encourage dialogue and mutual understanding.
“Sangh is bringing leadership from all sides together to hold discussions. Meetings have already been held in Imphal, Guwahati, and Delhi. Hundreds of relief camps have been organized by RSS swayamsevaks to support displaced people with food, shelter, and essentials,” he stated. While acknowledging the imposition of President’s Rule as a hopeful step, he noted that resolving the situation will take time.
RSS Stands Firm on National Integrity Amidst Political Narratives
On the issue of a perceived North-South divide, Mukunda Ji dismissed it as a politically motivated debate. He reiterated that the Union Home Minister had clarified the delimitation process, assuring no change in the ratio of Lok Sabha seats in Southern states.
He also addressed concerns over cultural and linguistic issues, urging that such matters should be resolved through social and community leadership rather than political interference. “Sangh stands for justice and harmony,” he added.
RSS @ 100: Growing Presence Across India
Providing insights into RSS’s expansion as it approaches its centenary in 2025, Mukunda Ji revealed that the organization has over 1 crore swayamsevaks nationwide.
“Most new swayamsevaks join between ages 12-14 and 20-25, though many also join later. In Tamil Nadu, Bihar, and Odisha, where our presence was limited earlier, we are seeing remarkable growth. The number of Shakhas in Tamil Nadu has surpassed 4,000,” he noted.
He clarified that any opposition to RSS expansion is politically driven rather than religiously motivated and emphasized that such issues can be resolved through dialogue.
RSS Backs Mother Tongue in Education and Daily Life
Mukunda Ji reiterated the RSS’s commitment to promoting regional languages. “Matru Bhasha (Mother Tongue) should be used not only in education but also in daily life. It is beneficial to know multiple languages – our mother tongue, the regional language where we live, and a career language like English,” he stated.
He highlighted that Dr. Mohan Bhagwat has encouraged the use of regional languages in both formal and informal gatherings.
Resolution on Hindu Rights in Bangladesh
Responding to a question on the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh, Mukunda Ji confirmed that the ABPS will pass a resolution on the issue and share details with the media.
