Aero India 2025: Bengaluru Traffic Advisory for Yelahanka Road Closure and Parking Guidelines

Bengaluru - The Bengaluru Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory for those attending Aero India 2025, set to take place at the Air Force Station in Yelahanka from February 10 to 14, 2025. The prestigious biennial event will showcase the latest advancements in aerospace and defense technologies, featuring both military and civilian aircraft, and is expected to attract thousands of visitors.

To ensure smooth access to the venue and manage the large crowd expected, several traffic restrictions and parking guidelines have been set. The Yelahanka Road will be blocked for the duration of the event, and visitors are urged to follow designated routes to avoid congestion. Strict security measures are in place, with heightened surveillance around the venue.

Parking and Route Guidelines for Visitors

Ticket and Pass Holders: Visitors with tickets or parking passes are required to display their passes prominently on their vehicle windshields for access to the venue. It is mandatory to follow the routes outlined in the QR codes provided on tickets or passes. No deviation from these routes will be permitted.

Air Display View Area (ADVA) Access: Visitors with passes for Gates 8 to 11 must follow the service road below the Kodigehalli Junction flyover, passing Byatarayanapura Junction, GKVK Junction, and the Yelahanka Bypass Junction. The designated route requires a left turn onto Doddaballapura Main Road, followed by a right at Nagenahalli Gate towards Gantiganahalli. This route will also be used for the return journey.

Domestic Area Gate No. 5 Access: Visitors with parking passes for Gate No. 5 should use Airport Road and proceed via the flyover. After taking a U-turn at IAF Hunasamaranahalli, they must follow the service road to Gate No. 5. The return route will exit through Gate No. 5A, proceeding via the Reva College Junction.

Alternative Parking and Shuttle Services

To ease the traffic burden around the venue, visitors are encouraged to utilize alternative parking facilities at the GKVK Campus and Jakkur Airfield. Free shuttle services will be provided by BMTC to transport visitors from these locations to the airshow venue.

With Aero India 2025 set to be one of the largest aerospace and defense exhibitions, the event will feature aerial displays, aircraft exhibitions, and live demonstrations, attracting industry professionals, government officials, and aviation enthusiasts. Authorities are urging the public to plan their travel in advance and use public transport to avoid traffic disruptions during the event.
