Manesar, Haryana - Union Minister for Heavy Industries, Shri HD Kumaraswamy, has proposed establishing the third International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT-III) in Bengaluru. This ambitious initiative aims to position the city as a global leader in advanced automotive, electric vehicle (EV), and sustainable mobility technologies.
Highlighting Bengaluru’s strategic advantages, Kumaraswamy noted its reputation as India’s IT capital, boasting a rich talent pool and a robust innovation ecosystem. “Bengaluru is the nucleus of technological advancements in India. Establishing ICAT Centre-III here will not only enhance the automotive sector but also accelerate innovation in defence, railways, and sustainable solutions,” he stated.
