Thiruvanathapuram - In a significant drug crackdown, the State Police conducted Operation D-Hunt across the state on April 7, 2025, leading to the arrest of 130 individuals involved in illegal drug activities. The operation targeted drug dealers and traffickers, resulting in the seizure of substantial quantities of prohibited substances, including MDMA, cannabis, and cannabis bidis.

A total of 2155 individuals were screened during the anti-narcotics drive, with 120 cases registered under the NDPS Act for possession and trafficking of banned drugs. Authorities recovered 0.007 kg of MDMA, 14.834 kg of cannabis, and 87 cannabis bidis from the suspects.

This bold initiative was launched under the direct supervision of the Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), with specialized anti-narcotics intelligence cells operating at both the state and range levels to strengthen the fight against drug trafficking and organized crime.

The Anti-Narcotics Control Room (Contact: 9497927797) remains active 24/7, accepting confidential reports from the public to aid in ongoing narcotics control efforts. This move aligns with the state's commitment to maintaining public safety and creating a drug-free state.
