Bengaluru -The Bangalore Military Station today marks another significant transformation with the inauguration of the Gallantry Walkway, a tribute to Karnataka's decorated military heroes. Major General Ravi Murugan, PVSM, AVSM, GOC Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area, officiated the event.

Located next to the recently inaugurated Grand Gate of Manekshaw Parade Ground on Cubbon Road, the Gallantry Walkway enhances the military heritage of this historic site. The walkway features seven busts of top gallantry awardees from Karnataka, including recipients of the Param Vir Chakra, Ashok Chakra, and Mahavir Chakra.

The primary objective of this initiative is to honor the resolute spirit, sacrifice, and unwavering service of armed forces personnel from Karnataka. It also aims to instill awareness and pride among the younger generation. This project by the Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area further reinforces the Parade Ground as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices and dedication demonstrated by the Indian Army towards the security of the nation.
