Air Force Technical College Celebrates Milestone with 104th Aeronautical Engineers Course Passing Out Parade

Bengaluru - The Air Force Technical College (AFTC) in Bengaluru marked a significant milestone with the Passing Out Parade (POP) of its 104th Aeronautical Engineers Course (AEC) on March 7, 2025. The event celebrated the graduation of 47 engineering officers, including 10 women officers, after 62 weeks of intensive training.
The ceremony was presided over by Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command, Indian Air Force, who served as the Reviewing Officer. He was welcomed by Air Commodore Ashutosh Shrivastava, Commandant of the College.
A Grand Spectacle of Skill and Precision
The parade included captivating performances such as a flypast by Dornier aircraft, a thrilling skydiving demonstration by the ‘Air Devils’ team, precision drills by the ‘Air Warrior Drill Team’, and a high-octane motorcycle display by the ‘Tornadoes’ team from the Army Service Corps.
Flying Officer Ankush received the coveted ‘Sword of Honour’ for securing the top spot in the order of merit, while Flying Officer Ankit Raj was awarded the ‘President’s Plaque’ for excelling in professional subjects. The Chief of Air Staff Medals were conferred upon Flying Officer Harshit Bilandi (Electronics) and Flying Officer Dongale Avishkar Namdev (Mechanical) for their outstanding performance in their respective streams.
A Call to Technological Excellence
Air Marshal Garg, in his address, congratulated the newly commissioned officers and emphasized their pivotal role in maintaining aerospace safety and enhancing air power capabilities. He encouraged them to embrace lifelong learning to keep pace with the evolving technological landscape.
Kamlesh Mehta, Secretary General of TTFI, highlighted the significance of the event, stating, "This tournament marks a new era for Indian table tennis. The growing number of direct entries reflects the progress our players have made on the global stage."
