6th IAF Paramedical Seminar Focuses on Armed Forces Wellness through Primary Health Care

Bengaluru -  The Medical Training Centre (MTC), Air Force, one of the Indian Air Force's oldest training institutes, held its 6th Paramedical Seminar on "Wellness in Armed Forces through Primary Health Care" from August 9 to 10, 2024. The seminar was inaugurated by Air Marshal Rajesh Vaidya, Director General Medical Services (Air), who served as the Chief Guest. Medical Assistants from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force participated in this key event.

The seminar aimed to enhance Medical Assistants' understanding of wellness concepts and advancements achieved through primary health care activities within the Indian armed forces. As a unique event created for Medical Assistants by their peers, it offered insights into contemporary wellness practices and facilitated the exchange of ideas on health promotions, specific protections, and early diagnosis and treatment.

The two-day event included engaging sessions and discussions, culminating in a quiz competition on public health. It also provided a platform for networking and collaboration among tri-service Medical Assistants, fostering the development of training strategies for future combat scenarios.
