New Delhi - Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium as she led a 300-member high-level Belgian Economic Mission to India, marking a significant step in fostering bilateral cooperation. The delegation, consisting of prominent business leaders, government officials, and representatives from various sectors, reflects the growing partnership between the two nations.
Prime Minister Modi deeply appreciated Princess Astrid's initiative in spearheading the mission, highlighting the positive association of the Belgian Royal Family with India. This visit marks the second time Princess Astrid has led an Economic Mission to India, underscoring the strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
The leaders engaged in discussions spanning trade, investment, technology, defence, innovation, clean energy, infrastructure, agriculture, skilling, and academic exchanges. Both sides expressed a commitment to discovering new pathways for cooperation across emerging and high-impact sectors to benefit their people.
