Kerala CM Finally Orders Investigation into Top Cop Over Serious Allegations of Gold Smuggling and Criminal Ties
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Takes Immediate Action Following MLA P.V. Anvar's Shocking Accusations Against ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar
Kottayam – In a dramatic development, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has ordered a thorough investigation into serious allegations made against ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar by Nilambur MLA P.V. Anvar. This decision comes after a crucial meeting between the Chief Minister and State Police Chief DGP S. Darvesh Sahib at the government guest house in Nattakom. The CM's action follows reports of a meeting between ADGP Kumar and Vijayan in Kottayam, where the Chief Minister was attending the Police Association’s state conference.
Addressing the conference, Vijayan announced that the probe will be led by a top-ranking police official and confirmed that ADGP Kumar will be removed from his role as the Law and Order ADGP. “The issues raised will be tackled with the utmost seriousness,” Vijayan stated. “Any breach of discipline within the police force will not be tolerated.”
The allegations by MLA P.V. Anvar have shaken the state’s political landscape. Anvar has accused ADGP Kumar of involvement in criminal activities, including murders linked to gold smuggling. Furthermore, Anvar alleged that Kumar used the cyber cell to illegally intercept communications of ministers, political figures, and journalists, with an IPS officer allegedly assigned to this illicit task.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government evaluates issues based on their merit and is committed to addressing any misconduct within the police force. As the investigation unfolds, all eyes are on how these serious allegations will impact Kerala’s law enforcement and political environment.
