Karnataka Bags Record ₹3.43 Lakh Crore Investment in Renewable Energy at Global Investors Meet 2025

Bengaluru - In a major boost to India’s renewable energy sector, Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) has secured a record-breaking investment of ₹3.43 lakh crore through 13 strategic MoUs signed at the Global Investors Meet 2025. This massive investment is set to propel Karnataka’s clean energy revolution and generate 78,253 new jobs across the state.

Energy Minister K.J. George handed over the MoU documents to top investors during the summit’s inauguration, reaffirming Karnataka’s commitment to sustainability and green energy expansion.

Major Investors Driving Karnataka’s Clean Energy Future

Among the key players committing substantial investments are:

  • JSW Neo Energy Limited – ₹56,000 crore
  • ReNew Pvt. Ltd. – ₹50,000 crore
  • Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited – ₹50,000 crore

The event saw the presence of notable dignitaries, including KREDL Chairman T.D. Rajegowda, Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department Gaurav Gupta, and KREDL Managing Director K.P. Rudrappaiah.
