Ezhimala - The Indian Naval Academy (INA) witnessed a splendid Passing Out Parade (POP) today, marking the culmination of the Spring Term 2024. Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari, Chief of the Air Staff, reviewed the parade, which showcased the graduation of 216 trainees, including 34 women trainees and 10 from friendly foreign countries, symbolizing the successful completion of their rigorous training. Vice Admiral V Srinivas and Vice Admiral Vineet McCarty were also present to grace the occasion.

Midshipman Pinintla Pradeep Kumar Reddy clinched the prestigious 'President's Gold Medal' for securing the first position in the overall order of merit. Other notable medal winners included Midshipman Mohammad Sameer, Midshipman Rahul Darshansingh Shoeran, Cadet Sandhitha Patnaik, Cadet Shaurya Jamwal, Cadet Saloni K Singh, Cadet Janhvi Singh, Cadet Sahanaa MK, and Assistant Commandant Aditya Ojha.

The parade concluded with the successful trainees marching past the Academy's Quarterdeck, their swords and rifles gleaming, to bid farewell in a traditional ceremony known as 'Antim Pag.' Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari commended the passing out trainees for their exemplary dedication and performance, along with praising the Champion Squadron for their outstanding achievements.

The integration of international trainees not only enhances India's foreign relations but also underscores the world-class training facilities at INA. Notably, the 38 Naval Orientation Course (NOC) marked a significant milestone by extending its training duration to 44 weeks and including five women officers in the Executive branch, a stride towards gender neutrality in the Indian Navy.

Following the parade, dignitaries, including the Chief of the Air Staff, Vice Admiral V Srinivas, and Commandant of INA, interacted with the passing out trainees and their parents, congratulating them on their successful completion of training. These newly commissioned officers are entrusted with the crucial task of upholding the Combat Ready, Credible, Cohesive, and Future Ready Indian Navy, embodying the core values of Duty, Honour, and Courage.
