Young talents Anupati Navyashree Sai and Raju Singh steal the spotlight in Showjumping and Dressage events at the Junior National Equestrian Championship in New Delhi.

New Delhi- Rising stars Anupati Navyashree Sai and Raju Singh delivered stellar performances in their respective categories, earning top honors on the concluding day of the first half of the Junior National Equestrian Championship (JNEC).

In the Young Rider category, Anupati, riding Abra ka Dabra, showcased her prowess in the Showjumping two-phase event. She scored an impressive 32.60 marks without incurring any penalties, finishing ahead of Avik Bhatia, Geetika Tikkishetty, and Monu Kumar to clinch the title of Best Rider in her event.

Raju Singh shone in the Dressage Freestyle category, riding Louk to an outstanding 65.18 marks in a fiercely competitive event. He narrowly edged out rivals Javeer Verma, Geetika, and Navyashree Sai to emerge victorious.

"It was extremely satisfying to witness the immense talent on display at this junior championship. It gives the Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) hope and confidence that the sport will continue to grow rapidly in the country," said EFI Secretary General Jaiveer Singh. "The competition was incredibly close, with the margin separating winners and other participants being very thin. We look forward to more high-octane events as the championship continues."

The Children Dressage category saw Subh Chowdhri, astride Furstentanz, triumph over challengers Pranav Deepak, Punnet Jakhar, and Jaiwant Nawle. Meanwhile, in the Children Showjumping event, Mogil Anbu edged out Divyaraj Singh Rathore, Sresh Raju Mantena, and Eera Shree Harsha to claim victory.

In the Children I category, Jaiveer Singh Nagra was awarded the Best Rider title for his exceptional consistency and outstanding performances, solidifying his status as a promising talent in Indian equestrian sports.

In the overall individual Tent Pegging event, Sahil, riding Candy, secured the top spot with 93.5 points, finishing ahead of Mohammad Alhamad Chishty (80), Shahrukh Khan (79), and Adeel Ahkter (76).

The JNEC will resume action on December 27, featuring events in the Junior (ages 14-18) and Children II (ages 10-12) categories. The second half of the championship promises to deliver more thrilling competitions, culminating on December 29.
