Tuticorin - In a major anti-narcotics operation, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Regional Headquarters (East) successfully intercepted a narco-trafficking operation based on intelligence received from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI). The mission, executed on the night of March 5, 2025, led to the seizure of 30 kg of Hashish Oil, valued at approximately Rs 33 crore.
Acting on precise intelligence inputs, the ICG swiftly deployed its assets to track and intercept Tug Shwe Lin Yone and its accompanying barge, both suspected of smuggling contraband. The vessels were successfully seized and escorted to Tuticorin Port, where they were handed over to the DRI for further investigation.
