Tri-Service HADR Exercise Strengthens Indo-Pacific Cooperation
Bengaluru - The Armed Forces of India and the United States officially inaugurated Exercise Tiger Triumph 2025 today in Visakhapatnam, marking a significant step in enhancing joint humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations. The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of senior military officials, dignitaries, and participating personnel from both nations, underscoring the growing strategic collaboration between the two allies.
A major highlight of this year’s exercise is the participation of the Infantry Battalion Group of the Sudarshan Chakra Corps, which will play a critical role in amphibious operations and disaster response drills. The US contingent features elite units, including the 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment (Bobcats), the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team (Arctic Wolves), and the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion (1st LAR) of the US Marine Corps.
Adding to the amphibious capabilities, India’s INS Jalashwa and the US Navy’s USS Comstock will facilitate joint amphibious landings and logistics operations. These large platforms, along with tri-service elements from both nations, will conduct crisis response simulations to ensure seamless coordination in real-world scenarios.
