First Intra-State Air Service of the Country Inaugurated by CM Dr. Mohan Yadav

Bhopal -  Madhya Pradesh is rapidly becoming a premier destination for travelers seeking unique and enriching experiences. The recent inauguration of “PM Shri Paryatan Vayu Seva,” the country’s first intra-state air service, marks a significant milestone in enhancing accessibility to the state's captivating destinations. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the service, which connects eight major cities in Madhya Pradesh, making travel more convenient for both domestic and international visitors.

Tourist arrivals in Madhya Pradesh tripled in 2023 compared to 2022, highlighting the state’s growing popularity. With the motto “Atithi Devo Bhava,” Madhya Pradesh offers a variety of authentic experiences, from adventure and history to culture and spirituality.

The new air service, connecting Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Rewa, Ujjain, Gwalior, Singrauli, and Khajuraho, aims to improve connectivity and the overall travel experience within the state. Travelers can now book tickets and access information about offers, schedules, and fare details at www.flyola.in.

During the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Yadav flagged off the first flight from Bhopal to Jabalpur via Rewa and Singrauli. He also inaugurated the ticket-booking counter at the airport, distributing boarding passes and souvenirs to passengers. The service commenced with two 6-seat aircraft.

Dr. Yadav emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is an attractive destination for all kinds of travelers. The “PM Shri Paryatan Vayu Seva” will significantly enhance connectivity, making travel within the state more efficient. Future plans include connecting Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlingas, as well as other religious sites like Orchha, Salkanpur, Katni, and Datia, facilitating memorable spiritual journeys.

Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, Religious Trusts, and Endowments, Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, hailed the launch as a historic day for Madhya Pradesh. The service aims to make the state a safe and accessible tourism destination.

Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture, and Managing Director of the Tourism Board, Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla, stated that the “PM Shri Paryatan Vayu Seva” will be a milestone for the state's tourism sector. This initiative will also benefit trade, health, education, and the promotion of culture and art. Booking counters have been set up at the airports of Indore, Bhopal, and Jabalpur.

The first flight from Ujjain is scheduled to take off on June 16, in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The air service will operate on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis through Jetserve Aviation Private Limited (Flyola).
