Bengaluru - The Karnataka SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) exams commenced today across the state, with a total of 8,96,447 students appearing for their crucial board exams in 15,881 examination centers.

Extending his best wishes to students, Karnataka Assembly Speaker U.T. Khader emphasized that the SSLC exam is a stepping stone, not the final destination, urging students to remain confident and composed during this phase. He also stressed the importance of emotional support from parents to help students perform their best.

"Students have worked tirelessly for this moment, and I encourage them to approach the exams with determination and a positive mindset," said Speaker U.T. Khader while addressing the Assembly.

Adding to the encouragement, School Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa and Leader of the Opposition R. Ashoka also conveyed their best wishes to all examinees.

In a major relief for students appearing for the SSLC exams, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced that the Karnataka government has arranged free transportation facilities for all candidates.

Speaking at the Assembly, CM Siddaramaiah highlighted that this year’s batch will be taking their exams without any grace marks, underlining the government's commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent examination system.

"I extend my best wishes to all SSLC students and hope they perform exceptionally well," the Chief Minister stated.
