Big Boost for UP Govt Employees! Yogi Adityanath Approves 7th Pay Commission Benefits

Lukhnow- In a significant decision ahead of Holi, the Yogi Adityanath government has approved 7th Pay Commission benefits for seven long-serving employees of the Science & Technology Council. These employees, who have been working since 1994-95, will now receive revised salary and allowances in accordance with the 7th Pay Commission matrix, effective from January 1, 2016.
The proposal was greenlit in the recent cabinet meeting, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been authorized to resolve any challenges that may arise in its implementation. This decision aligns the affected employees’ salaries with those of their colleagues in the council.
UP Roadways Staff Gets Holi Incentive—Up to ₹4,400 for Bus Drivers & Conductors
- The Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation has announced special incentive rewards for bus drivers and conductors to ensure smooth operations during Holi.
- Eligibility Criteria: Employees driving at least 300 km daily between March 8-18.
- Regular employees: ₹4,000 incentive for 10 days; ₹4,400 for 11 days.
Contractual workers: ₹3,500 for 10 days.
This monetary boost aims to encourage staff and ensure efficient transport services during the festive rush. Daily performance tracking is being done to ensure proper distribution of funds.
Shiksha Mitras & Instructors Likely to Get Salary Hike—Proposal for ₹25,000 Under Review
In another major development, the Yogi government is considering a salary hike for Shiksha Mitras and instructors, who currently earn ₹10,000 and ₹9000, respectively. The proposed revision could push salaries up to:
- Shiksha Mitras: ₹25,000
- Instructors: ₹22,000
This proposal has received high-level approval, with the government studying salary structures in other states before finalizing the decision. If implemented, over 1,43,450 Shiksha Mitras and 22,223 instructors will benefit from incremental salary growth every three years.
