Virat Kohli's Vision for India to Become a ‘Sports Forward Nation’ by 2036

Bengaluru - At the RCB Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit, powered by Leaders, Indian cricketing icon Virat Kohli emphasized his vision of transforming India into a 'Sports Forward Nation' by the year 2036. The cricketer, known for his leadership both on and off the field, shared his belief in the power of education and collaboration to reshape India's sporting landscape.

“We are working towards India becoming a Sport Forward Nation by 2036,” said Kohli, outlining his ambitions for the country's sports future. He further added, "As I said, we have the vision, we have the groundwork happening today. I think it's the collective responsibility of everyone who gets involved."

Kohli stressed that the progress towards this vision will require contributions from various stakeholders, including not just athletes, but also infrastructure developers, investors, and, most importantly, the people who wish to educate themselves about sports.

“We don’t need the celebration and fanaticism around sports; we need the education of the sport,” Kohli emphasized. The cricketer underlined the importance of creating a stronger educational foundation surrounding sports in India, which he believes will significantly improve the overall sporting experience for future generations.

By focusing on sports education, Kohli believes the sporting environment in India can be enhanced, and the experience will be “10 times” better. This, he argues, is a crucial step in realizing the dream of making India a prominent sporting nation.

Kohli's vision aligns with the growing momentum in Indian sports, as a shift in focus towards education and development continues to gain traction.
