Sources suggest the meeting may have revolved around the selection of the next CBI Director, with current chief Praveen Sood’s tenure ending on May 25, 2025. However, speculation is also rife that the Pahalgam terror attack and national security concerns were part of the discussion.

NSA Doval Briefs PM on National Security

Before Rahul Gandhi’s arrival, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met PM Modi for a critical briefing. Doval’s meeting, seen as highly significant in security circles, was followed by an update from Home Secretary Govind Mohan, underscoring the heightened pace of national security deliberations.
