Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, presently in Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody over an excise policy-linked money-laundering case, has taken a significant step towards governance even amidst his legal ordeal. Reports emerging from sources within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) indicate that Kejriwal has issued his first directive from custody, addressing the essential need for adequate drinking water supply in areas experiencing shortages across the city.

The directive, reportedly dispatched to the Jal Board and the concerned ministry, underscores Kejriwal's commitment to prioritizing the welfare of Delhi's residents despite his legal entanglements. Kejriwal's arrest from his official residence on Thursday and subsequent remand until March 28th by a court on Friday have not deterred his focus on governance, according to AAP insiders.

"He (Kejriwal) has issued his first direction from ED custody. The directions pertain to the city government's Water department. Water Minister Atishi will announce the directions later in the day," the party sources informed , shedding light on Kejriwal's unwavering dedication to his administrative responsibilities.

Delhi Water Minister Atishi, speaking at a press conference, conveyed the contents of the directive penned by Chief Minister Kejriwal. "Even under such circumstances, his focus remains on the welfare of the people of Delhi and addressing their concerns, rather than his personal situation," Atishi remarked, expressing her emotional response to the CM's missive.
