HAL Pivotal in India's Defence Ambitions, Says Raksha Rajya Mantri

Bengaluru - The Raksha Rajya Mantri, Mr. Sanjay Seth, visited Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) facilities today, underscoring the pivotal role the company plays in achieving self-reliance (Atmanirbharta) in India's defence sector. Addressing HAL's top management, the Hon’ble RRM highlighted HAL's significant contribution towards realizing the Make-in-India vision.

During his address, Mr. Seth assured HAL of steadfast government support while urging the company to address challenges in design, development, production, and delivery promptly. These efforts, he emphasized, are crucial for advancing towards Viksit Bharat (Developed India), a goal set forth by the Government.

HAL presented an overview encompassing its current and future product profile, ongoing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (ROH) activities, aircraft upgrades, avionics advancements, exports, engine manufacturing, and initiatives in both manned and unmanned aerial vehicles. The presentation also highlighted HAL's efforts in indigenization and its contributions to civil Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) activities, including support extended to various ISRO platforms.

Following the presentation, the Hon’ble RRM visited HAL's LCA Tejas and Helicopter Divisions, expressing keen interest in their operations and developments.

Mr. C B Ananthakrishnan, CMD (Addl. Charge) of HAL, expressed gratitude to the Government for its unwavering support and acknowledged HAL's proactive measures in overcoming operational challenges across various domains. Directors and CEOs of HAL were present during the visit, affirming their commitment to advancing India's aerospace capabilities.
