Kumaraswamy Claims Funds Transferred Under Congress High Command’s Nose, Demands Comprehensive Investigation
Bengaluru- Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has leveled serious allegations against current CM Siddaramaiah, claiming he is directly responsible for the illegal fund transfers in the Valmiki Development Corporation. Kumaraswamy insists that the funds were transferred right under the Congress High Command's nose.
Speaking to the media at Vidhana Soudha, Kumaraswamy stated, "A conspiracy is underway to pin the entire blame on Minister Nagendra. However, it seems that the entire cabinet might be complicit in this scam. Therefore, it is imperative to audit the finances of all corporations and present the details to the public."
Kumaraswamy Questions Deputy CM’s Response to Heavy Rainfall
In a sharp critique, Kumaraswamy questioned why Deputy CM DK Shivakumar did not conduct rounds in the city despite heavy rainfall. "Despite the heavy rains last night, the Deputy CM did not bother to inspect the city. Last week, he made a show of his rounds; what measures did he take then? They are boasting about city inspections but failed to act when it was needed," Kumaraswamy remarked sarcastically.
Prajwal Revanna Case Left to Government and SIT
Regarding the case involving Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, Kumaraswamy clarified that the matter is now in the hands of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and the government. "Prajwal has returned from abroad and appeared before the SIT, as advised by me and Deve Gowda. From now on, the responsibility lies with the SIT and the government," he stated.
Congress Should Enjoy Poll Survey Results While They Last
Commenting on the exit polls, Kumaraswamy advised Congress leaders to enjoy the favorable survey results while they can. "They have referred to the exit polls as Modi Exit Poll and Media Exit Poll. Let them be happy until tomorrow afternoon. We are confident of winning 25 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, with JD(S) securing three constituencies."
JDS Candidate for Legislative Council
For the Legislative Council elections, JD(S) candidate TN Javarayigowda has filed his nomination. "It was the party workers' wish to give the ticket to a loyal worker. After discussing with all MLAs, we decided on Javarayigowda, who has contested the Yeshwanthpur Assembly constituency four times. The decision reflects the unanimous opinion of our party members," said Kumaraswamy.
The names of BM Farooq and Kupendra Reddy were also considered, but ultimately, it was decided that Javarayigowda would be the candidate, honoring the party workers' wishes.
