Bengaluru- In 2015, Kolkata's Uday Kumar faced a life-altering accident during Durga Puja, resulting in the amputation of his left leg. But what the world labeled as “91% disabled,” Uday redefined as “91% abled.” His indomitable spirit charted a path few dare to dream.
From 5K to the World Stage: Marathon Passion Ignited
Uday began his running journey with a modest 5 km marathon in 2017. From that first stride in Kolkata to completing over 80 races across 16 states, he emerged as an unstoppable force in India's marathon circuit.
Scaling New Heights: Beyond the Running Track
Not one to limit himself, Uday conquered Kanchenjunga at 16,500 feet and Africa's tallest peak, Kilimanjaro. His thirst for adventure also saw him skydiving, scuba diving, and becoming the first Indian to unfurl the national flag across air, land, and sea.
