Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Firm: 'I'll Never Join BJP Even as President or PM,' Warns Against BJP-RSS Influence

Mysore - In a resolute declaration, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah affirmed his stance, stating unequivocally that he would never align with the BJP, even if offered the prestigious positions of President or Prime Minister. His declaration came during a gathering of SC-ST activists and leaders at the District Congress office, aimed at garnering support for Lok Sabha candidate M. Laxman.

Siddaramaiah emphasized the significance of ideological clarity in attaining political power, cautioning against the allure of BJP-RSS ideologies. He underscored the exclusionary practices within RSS, asserting that Shudras, Dalits, and women are barred from its sanctum sanctorum.

In a sharp retort, Siddaramaiah called attention to the apparent reversal in stance by former Prime Minister Deve Gowda, juxtaposing his earlier vow to leave the country if Modi assumed office with his current professed bond with the PM.

Highlighting BJP and RSS's opposition to social justice and reservation policies, Siddaramaiah stressed the intrinsic right of oppressed communities to reservation, denouncing it as a necessity as long as the caste system persists.

He drew parallels between historical oppression and the contemporary threat posed by attempts to reintroduce Manusmriti-like practices, urging vigilance against regressive amendments to the constitution.

Siddaramaiah lamented the continued marginalization of Shudras, Dalits, and women within RSS, citing testimonies from senior BJP leaders who were denied entry into its inner sanctum.

Urging voters to uphold the progressive initiatives of the Congress government, Siddaramaiah championed reservation policies and equitable budget allocations, contrasting them with BJP's historical opposition to such measures.

In a rallying cry for support, he highlighted Congress's track record in implementing pro-Dalit policies, urging voters to elect M. Laxman to uphold the principles of social justice and inclusivity.

The gathering, attended by Social Welfare Minister HC Mahadevappa, KPCC Working President Tanveer Seth, and Lok Sabha candidate M. Laxman, echoed Siddaramaiah's call to reject divisive politics and embrace a vision of equality and progress.
