Karnataka Gears Up for Global Investors Meet 2025, Set to Showcase Innovation and Industrial Expansion

Bengaluru - Karnataka is set to mark a new chapter in industrial and economic development with the much-anticipated Global Investors Meet (GIM), Invest Karnataka 2025. Scheduled from February 12–14, 2025, with an inaugural event on February 11, 2025, the summit will spotlight Karnataka’s strategic role as a leading innovation and investment hub while fostering global partnerships across diverse industries.

Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries, MB Patil, has unveiled a visionary plan that aims to accelerate Karnataka’s industrial growth and position it as a global leader in innovation and sustainability. The summit will be graced by prominent leaders, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, Minister of Consumer Affairs Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy, and Minister of State for Labour and Employment Shobha Karandlaje, all of whom are expected to attend the inauguration and actively participate in key discussions during the event.

In addition to these distinguished leaders, several top industrialists such as Anand Mahindra, Sajjan Jindal, Geetanjali Kirloskar, and Kiran Mazumdar Shaw will join the summit, adding significant value to the event.

One of the highlights of the summit will be the first-ever Invest Karnataka Awards, recognizing 14 pioneering industries that have contributed to the state's industrial growth. Special awards will include the Sunrise Sector Awards, celebrating achievements in Aerospace & Defense, Auto/EV, and Biotech & Lifesciences, as well as categories for Highest One-Time Investment and Pioneers in Global R&D. The Karnataka Case Study Booklet, to be launched during the awards, will feature transformative investments that have played a pivotal role in the state’s economic evolution.

To further strengthen Karnataka’s support for small businesses, the summit will also honor 35+ outstanding SMEs through the first-ever SME Awards, with special recognition for district-level excellence, women entrepreneurs, and sector-specific achievements. 60+ companies and startups will showcase their disruptive technologies in the Future of Innovation Expo, which will feature breakthroughs in autonomous systems, carbon nanotubes, UAVs, and advanced robotics across key sectors such as manufacturing, mobility, and clean energy.

In line with its goal of expanding industrial capacity, the Karnataka government has announced the development of sector-specific industrial parks including the Advanced Pharma Park in Kolar, Solar Cell Park and Food Park in Vijayapura, Drone Park in Chitradurga, and EV Clusters in Chikkaballapur and Dharwad. Additionally, the government is set to develop a 200-acre Startup Park in Hubballi and a 1,200-acre Industrial Park in Tidagundi, Vijayapura, cementing Karnataka’s commitment to becoming a global industrial powerhouse.

Invest Karnataka 2025 will feature an impressive lineup of over 75 marquee speakers, including prominent figures such as Anand Mahindra, Sajjan Jindal, Shashi Tharoor, Sebastian Thrun, Ann Dunkin, Nikhil Kamath, Kiran Rao, Geetanjali Kirloskar, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, and Vivek Lall. The event will comprise 25+ technical sessions, 10+ country sessions, and discussions on SME Connect, all aimed at exploring global economic trends, innovation, and resilience strategies.

Minister MB Patil also emphasized Karnataka’s commitment to forging stronger academic and international collaborations, citing the state’s recent MoU with the University of Liverpool and expanded partnerships for the KWIN City initiative. The summit will also host 19 country partners, with 9 dedicated country pavilions and 10+ country-specific sessions, providing a platform to explore trade and investment opportunities and positioning Karnataka within global supply chains.

The summit will feature exclusive industry roundtables focused on Renewable Energy, University Collaborations for KWIN, and Healthcare Innovations, reaffirming the importance of these initiatives in shaping the future of Karnataka’s industrial landscape.
